Welder WAS my absolute favorite game!!! Not anymore!!! Previous upgrades were great. Last update with gigawatts totally ruined the game. I read the recent game reviews and I see I am not the only person who feels this way. Please restore the previous version!!!! Welder was such a fantastic game before!! And, of course, the changes are an attempt to make money by having to purchase more gigawatts to continue playing game. Well, I didn't purchase this version. I feel like we are victims of like bait and switch tactics! PLEASE put the game back to its previous version so I can again give it a glowing, 5 star review!!!!!!!!!!!! PLEASE, PLEASE! PLEASE!!!!!!

Couldn't agree more. I was on the 15th level (stage, whatever it is) and all these changes! I did finish the game but think the gigawatts and wrench (never figured out how I eventually got five point in the wrench icon nor how to use it) are worthless. You start me with 1000 gigawatts and then I can earn them at a pace of 2 or 10 (20 if the board is set up nicely) a play? Forget it. I'm not even sure I'm going back to the game now. It was great the way it was.

The level settings have not changed in any way from earlier versions in the 1.21 update. It was not necessary to buy Gigawatts to complete the game before, nor is it the case now. You can earn Gigawatts very easily throughout the game by welding 8 Letter Words or welding Gigawatt Tiles. You can then spend Gigawatts to get yourself out of jams that you encounter.

Or, you can ignore the Gigawatts completely and play the game exactly the way the levels were before. If you feel that you need Gigawatts to complete a level, just know that many players have completed that same level without the use of Gigawatts or spending any money.

Also, keep in mind you can upgrade your Gigawatt earning power by spending Gigawatts in the "About Gigawatts" menu.

Personally on the starting earnings, without any upgrades, I can earn about 1500 Gigawatts in a game. Since you start with 1000 Gigawatts, very quickly you can upgrade your "Weld Gigawatt Tiles" earning, and then you will earn them at a faster rate.

We realize that some players might want to ignore these features. Perhaps those players will not score as many points if they ignore Gigawatt earning and spending, but many players ignored other point earning features of the game in previous versions (storing up multipliers, for example) and did not achieve competitive scores as a result.
